An Even Lazier Summer Recipe

Remember my favorite lazy spring recipe? Now that it’s no longer a nice 75 and breezy outside, do you find yourself wondering what I was thinking when I suggested standing over a hot stove?

Have no fear, gentle reader. It turns out you can simply roast some asparagus in the oven, get the pasta boiling, and run to cooler rooms of your house.

I toss some asparagus, olive oil, and garlic powder in a baking dish, then pop it in the oven at 350 degrees for as long as it takes to get the water boiling and the pasta cooked. So much better than standing over that hot stove doing all that stirring, don’t you think?

I really missed my calling as a food photographer.

I went to my first Pure Barre class this morning, so tonight’s Friday Wine & Cheese will consist of a reward of the carbohydrate persuasion by way of onion and cheese French bread. I may even try to get a recipe together for you. I see you there on the edge of your seat.

How are you beating this heat?
